Como tantas outras cidades que visito por trabalho, Gijón é uma das que entrava apenas de passage, onde provei pela primeira vez o ouriço do mar (e não gostei), onde provei a sidra por segunda vez e tirei a tradicional foto ao lado das suas famosas letras vermelhas. Eu sei que é muito mais que isto e por isso no Verão de 2017, num passeio pelas Astúrias decidimos incluir Gijón na lista em vez de ir a Oviedo. O seu centro histórico é fácil de percorrer, as suas praias convidam a banhos e ainda descobrimos algumas espécies do mar Cantábrico no seu Aquário.

Like so many other cities that I visit for work, Gijón is one of those that came only passing by, where I first tasted the sea urchin (and I did not like it), where I tasted the cider a second time and took the traditional photo next to its famous red letters. I know it is much more than this and so in the summer of 2017, on a trip to Asturias we decided to include Gijón in the list instead of going to Oviedo. Its historical center is easy to navigate, its beaches invite to swim and we still discover some species of the Cantabrian Sea in its Aquarium.

Um desejo que se cumpre depois de seis anos a viver em Espanha. Queria muito conhecer a Alhambra, um dos lugares mais emblemáticos do país e também dos mais representativos da arquitetura islâmica na Europa. Mas Granada é muito mais, umas vistas fabulosas com a serra como pano de fundo, bairros com charme e história, muitas tapas e grátis.

A wish come true after six years living in Spain. I wanted to know the Alhambra, one of the most emblematic places of the country and also the most representative of Islamic architecture in Europe. But Granada is more, a fabulous views with the mountains as a backdrop, neighborhoods with charm and history, many tapas and free.
