A Alhambra tem um conjunto de palácios de arquitetura islâmica, um palácio do renascimento, um palácio que servia de refúgio para a realeza e a Alcazaba, a sua estrutura militar e defensiva. Muhammad I mandou construir uma fortificação na colina de Sabika e é por isso que desde o topo da sua torre mais alta, a da Vela temos uma vista espantosa sobre a cidade. Muitos recomendam começar a visita á Alhambra por aqui também por ser dos edificios mais antigos de todo o complexo.
The Alhambra has a set of Islamic architecture palaces a Renaissance palace, a palace that served as a refuge for royalty and the Alcazaba, its military structure and defensive. Muhammad I built a fortress on the hill of Sabika and that is why from the top of its highest tower, the Vela we have a breathtaking view of the city. Many recommend starting the visit to the Alhambra here also because its one of the oldest buildings of the whole complex.
Dentro das muralhas está o Bairro Castrense ou dos soldados onde viviam em pequenas casas que podemos ver melhor desde qualquer uma das suas torres. Enquanto visitávamos o castelo começou a chover o que nos fez procurar abrigo e assim encontrámos o Jardim del Adarve uma das suas zonas mais agradáveis e de onde também se pode ter uma excelente vista de Granada. Dali fomos até aos Palácios Nazaríes e já não tivémos tempo de ver muito mais.
Inside the walls is the Castrense district or the soldiers where they lived in small houses that we can see better from any one of its towers. While visiting the castle it started to rain which made us seek shelter and so we found the Garden del Adarve one of its most pleasant areas and also where you can have a great view of Granada. From there we went to the Palaces Nazaríes and no longer had time to see more.
