Passei vezes sem conta por esta igreja quase todas para ir á Feira da Ladra e em nenhum momento pensei em entrar até uma chuvosa tarde de Outubro que nos despertou a curiosidade. A chuva não é a melhor amiga neste caso, vale a pena visitar com melhor tempo porque tem uma fantástica vista sobre Lisboa e tem um pátio muito bonito que se pode aproveitar melhor com sol.

I went by this church countless times almost all to go to the flea market and at no time I thought of entering until a rainy afternoon in October that aroused our curiosity. The rain is not the best friend in this case, is worth visiting with better time because it has a fantastic view of Lisbon and has a beautiful courtyard that you can enjoy better with the sun.

É o representante dos cafés de Viena em Lisboa mas não dos clássicos senão da sua versão mais moderna e mais descontraída. O seu brunch é famoso e a sua ementa contém alguns dos pratos mais famosos da Áustria como o Schnitzel, a salada fria de batata, Sachetorte entre outros. Já leva muito tempo no Chiado e nós nunca calhou por lá passar até que decidimos ir lá lanchar.

It is the representative of the Vienna cafes in Lisbon but not of the classic one it’s more modern and more relaxed version. Their brunch is famous and its menu contains some of the most famous Austrian dishes such as schnitzel, cold potato salad, Sachetorte among others. It has been in Chiado for a long time and we never happened to go there until we decided to go to lunch.

Tivémos sorte na Páscoa com o tempo em Lisboa, dias solarengos que pediam tardes de esplanada com um bom livro e uma boa bebida. Pensámos no Sky Bar no último andar do Tivoli Hotel da Avenida da Liberdade que ainda não conhecíamos e que foi uma agradável surpresa, tem uma excelente vista sobre a cidade de onde podemos ver o Castelo de S. Jorge e margem sul do Tejo.
We were lucky with the weather on Easter in Lisbon, sunny days asked for terrace afternoons with a good book and a good drink. We thought of the Sky Bar on the top floor of the Tivoli Hotel Avenida da Liberdade that we still did not know and that was a pleasant surprise, has a great view of the city from where we can see the Castle of St. George and south bank of the Tagus.

Parece incrível viver tantos anos em Lisboa e nunca ter visitado o interior da Torre de Belém, como não fui em nenhuma visita da escola também não fiz nenhum esforço por visitá-la depois. Porquê? Nem sei explicar, ela sempre esteve ali no seu sitio e eu passeava muito á sua volta, via desde o comboio quando ia de Cascais a Lisboa e só quando fui viver para Madrid, senti que afinal deveria conhecê-la melhor. E estava um dia muito bom para o fazer…
It seems incredible that I lived many years in Lisbon and have never visited the interior of the Tower of Belém, as I was never on one of it’s visits from school and also made ​​no effort to visit it later. Why? Can’t really explain, it was always there in this place  and I walked a lot around it, via the train when going from Cascais to Lisbon and only when I moved to Madrid, I felt that after all I should know it better. And it was a very good day to do it…

O Natal é aquele momento familiar reunida á volta de uma mesa com bacalhau, bolo-rei, sonhos e outras frituras, assim manda a tradição. Para escapar ao traditional decidimos ir jantar fora e á procura de um sitio para hamburguers demos com um de pregos. Parece que a febre saiu dos centros comerciais e já encontrou um lugar “cool” onde comer um bife no pão. Mas não é um bife qualquer…este é do lombo e nota-se a diferença.
Christmas is that moment in time family is gathered around a table with cod, king cake (bolo-rei), “sonhos” and other fried foods, so tradition dictates. To escape the traditional we decided to go out to dinner and looking for a place to hamburgers we found this “pregos” (a beef sándwich) place. It seems that the latest gourmet fever left the shopping malls and found a “cool” place to eat a steak on bread. But it is not just any steak… this is the tenderloin and one can notice the difference.

Gelataria Amorino – Lisboa, Portugal

Ao passear pela Rua Augusta encontrámos a Gelataria Amorino e decidimos que depois do almoço na Taberna Moderna os famosos gelados em forma de flor seriam a nossa sobremesa. A primeira e única vez que comemos um gelado da Amorino foi na cidade francesa de Bordéus e lembro-me que adorámos, quisémos repetir a boa experiencia que tivémos.
Strolling along Rua Augusta we found the Gelataria Amorino and decided that after having lunch at the famous Taberna Moderna we would have the flower shaped ice cream for dessert. The first and only time I ate an ice cream from Amorino was in the French city of Bordeaux and remember that we loved, we wanted to repeat the experience we have done good.

A visita ao Palácio da Ajuda foi uma promoção 2×1, fomos ver a exposição da Joana Vasconcelos e acabámos por conhecê-lo por dentro algo que nunca tinha feito enquanto vivi em Portugal.
A sua construção inicia no século XVIII durante o reinado de D. José e no século XIX foi residência oficial da Familia Real, hoje em dia para além das salas que podemos visitar têm sede aqui alguns organismos públicos assim como a Biblioteca.
The visit to Ajuda Palace was like a 2×1 promotion, we went to see the exhibition of Joana Vasconcelos and we finally discover it something we had never done while living in Portugal.
Its construction started in the eighteenth century during the reign of King Joseph and in the nineteenth century  itwas the official residence of the Royal Family, today besides the rooms that we can visit some public offices are installed here as well as the Library.

Miradouro Santa Luzia – Lisboa, Portugal

Há qualquer coisa de cinematográfico neste miradouro, só de entrar já sentimos algo de especial que é dificil de explicar. A vista é assombrosa, é espectacular, mas provavelmente há melhores em Lisboa e nem isso importa.
É impactante quando vemos os edificios coloridos sobre um imenso céu azul e o rio ali perto. É daquelas imagens que nunca se esquece e para o caso de duvidarmos da nossa memória, tira-se uma foto, duas, várias, centenas… 
There is something cinematic about this viewpoint, just going in you already feel something special that is hard to explain. The view is amazing, is spectacular, but there are probably better at Lisbon and not even that matters.
It’s amazing when we see the colorful buildings on a vast blue sky and the river nearby. It is those images that one never forgets and in case of doubt your memory, you take a photo, two, several, hundreds…

Localizado na freguesia do Castelo, é um dos monumentos mais emblemáticos da cidade. Construído no topo de uma colina tem uma vista fantástica sobre Lisboa e margem sul do rio Tejo.
Nenhum roteiro da cidade fica completo sem uma visita ao Castelo.
Located in the parish of Castle, it’s one of the most emblematic monuments of the city. Built on top of a hill it offers fantastic views over Lisbon and the south bank of the Tagus river.
No tour of the city is complete without a visit to the Castle.
