The location is excellent, it’s on Rue Clauzel very close to the busy Rue des Martyrs and the Montmartre area.

Situated in the most bohemian district of Paris – Montmartre, the Boulevard of Clichy is famous for its bustling nightlife and where we can see the famous Moulin Rouge. We got out on the Pigalle metro station but the nearest famous cabaret is Blanche.

Ficámos algum tempo a ouvi-los tocar enquanto contemplávamos a fantástica fachada do palácio.
Continuing our bike ride through Paris we stopped at the Opera Square where we saw a great agitation around the Palais Garnier. In it there’s the National Academy of Music and the Paris Opera. Standing by the stairs of the elegant building, a group of musicians played as if the Academy had come out to the street and had they gathered quite a crowd. We stayed some time to listen to them play while we contemplated the awesome facade of the palace.

Three hundred steps separated us from the possibility of a panoramic view over Paris. Only three hundred steps. After climbing the Sagrada Familia these seemed like a joke, but it’s hard the same. What I do not understand in these things is that if I’m to climb it myself why I have to pay to do so, to get into the Basilica is free but to climb to the dome (by my own feet) I paid 5 €.
Once at the top we realized why, the view is compensanting and 5€ ceased being an expense but a true investment. The view over the city is magnificent and we can see everything.

We came from the Hotel du Ville and were headed to the Centre Pompidou when we stepped into S. Martin a nice pedestrian street. It was lunch time so we decided to seat down in one of it’s restaurants and we chose the Sous-Rire.
We sat down in it’s pleasant terrace and they had a lunch menu.
