Fomos ao Chelsea Potter sem saber que era um desses pubs londrinos cheios de história. Foi construído em 1842 e o seu nome original era Commercial Tavern mas dizem que o seu nome mudou em honra da Chelsea Arts Pottery. Chamou-nos a atenção a sua esplanada cheia de gente e decidimos entrar porque já não havia mesa fora. Uma vez dentro o seu balcão mantém um traçado original e a zona de mesas é bastante ampla com bancos e sofás de estampado de xadrez.

We went to Chelsea Potter without knowing it was one of those London pubs full of history. It was built in 1842 and its original name was Commercial Tavern but it is said to have changed its name in honor of the Chelsea Arts Pottery. We were struck by its crowded terrace and decided to go in because there was no table outside anymore. Once inside your desk retains an original layout and the table area is quite wide with checkerboard benches and sofas.

O edificio do Horse Guard é a “casa” dos guardas reais, construída no final do século XVIII é hoje a sede do London District (as forças armadas) e claro está dos soldados da Guarda Real da Rainha que são sempre uma das grandes atrações de Londres. Nós conseguimos apanhar os que fazem a mudança da guarda na House of Guards em direcção a Whitehall que mudam a cada hora desde as dez da manhã até ás quatro da tarde.

The Horse Guard building is the “home” of the royal guards, built in the late 18th century and is today the headquarters of the London District (the military) and of course the Royal Guard soldiers of the Queen who are always one of the great attractions of London. We managed to catch those who make the change of guard at the House of Guards towards Whitehall who change every hour from ten in the morning to four in the afternoon. São vários os monumentos símbolos da cidade de Londres, este é um deles. A primeira construção é do século XI e esteve a cargo de Guilherme o Conquistador, desde então grande parte da história do país passa por aqui e alguns dos seus capítulos mais sagrentos como a execução de Anne Boleyn, a de Thomas Moore e o mistério dos Principes da Torre, entre outros. As entradas, com o nome de doação custam perto de vinte e cinco libras, um preço elevado mas o seu interior está tem vários edificios que se pode visitar mais os eventos teatrais que representam alguns dos momentos mais importantes da sua história.

There are several monuments symbols of the city of London, this is one of them. The first building dates from the 11th century and was run by William the Conqueror, since much of the country’s history has passed here and some of its most sacred chapters such as the execution of Anne Boleyn, Thomas Moore and the mystery of the Princes the Tower, among others. The entrances with the donation name cost close to twenty-five pounds, a high price but its interior is has several buildings that one can visit plus the theatrical shows to relive some important moments in its history.
