Se não sabes o que representa podes deixar-te levar pela animação e vida que por ali passa, por parecer um labirinto vês mais brincadeira que outra coisa, jogar ao esconde não era própriamente o objetivo de este Memorial com mais de 2700 túmulos de betão com níveis distintos procuram representar a desorientação dos mais de seis milhões de judeus que foram vítimas do Holocausto.

If you do not know what it stands for you go with the life and vitality that passes by, because it seems like a maze so you see more like a fun place than anything else, playing the hide and seek was not exactly the goal of this Memorial with over 2,700 concrete tombs with different levelsthat wants to represent the disorientation of the six million Jews who were victims of the Holocaust.

O seu nome completo é Memorial aos Judeus Mortos na Europa e foi inaugurado em 2005, por baixo está o que chamam Local de Informação (que não visitámos) cuja a entrada é grátis mas as filas quando fomos eram pouco convidativas. É um espaço que conta a história do Holocausto e perseguição aos judeus. Visitar o Memorial e caminhar entre os blocos pode ser uma experiência interessante, quando o vês por fora sentes que estás livre e quando entras passeias entre blocos, te perdes da pessoa com quem estavas, vês luz e escuridão tens vontade de sair. Podes brincar ás escondidas, muitos o fazem e apesar de ser mais um lugar de reflexão não deixa de fazer sentido que se procure celebrar o valor da vida através de um monumento que relembra um dos momentos mais negros da história do século XIX.

Its full name is Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe and was inaugurated in 2005, below is what they call the Local Information (we did not visit) whose entrance is free but the queues when we were there were uninviting. It is a space that tells the story of the Holocaust and persecution of Jews. Visit the Memorial and walk between the blocks can be an interesting experience when you see it from outside you feel that you are free and when you enter touring between blocks, you lose the person you were, you see light and dark you might feel the urge tleave. You can playhide and seek, many do and despite being more a place of reflection it does make sense if it seeks to celebrate the value of life through a monument that recalls one of the darkest moments in the history of the nineteenth century.
