Depois de uma exaustiva pesquisa sobre o melhor hamburguer de Berlim ficámos com uma short list que incluía o Burgermeister, o The Bird e o Berlinburger International mas decidimos inovar e optar por outro que não estando no top 3 foi aparecendo noutras listas: o Shiso Burger. A promessa cumpriu-se comemos uns bons hamburguers de inspiração asiática num dos lugares da moda do bairro de Mitte.
After an exhaustive search for the best Burger of Berlin we ended up with a short list that included the Burgermeister, The Bird and the Berlinburger International but we decided to innovate and choose other than was not in the top 3 but was appearing in other lists: the Shiso Burger. The promise was fulfilled eat a good hamburger Asian-inspired in one of the most trendy places of the Mitte district.
Tivemos a sorte de conseguir mesa porque os seguintes já tiveram que esperar uns quinze minutos. Foi a dobrar porque ficámos perto da cozinha e foi interessante vê-los trabalhar e preparar os hamburguers. Pedimos o Cheeseburger (5,6€) e o Ebi Burger (6,7€), o primeiro com carne Angus e o segundo com camarão em tempura ambos servidos nas caixas de bamboo. São bastante bons, a carne era de boa qualidade e quase não precisava de molhos e o de camarão estava óptimo até melhor que o outro. Para acompanhar pedimos batatas fritas (2,9€) e uma salada coleslaw (3,2€). Pedi ainda o Mochi gelado (4,20€), duas bolinhas de arroz recheadas de pasta de feijão. No final pagámos 15€ por pessoa.
We were lucky to get table because the following had to wait fifteen minutes. It was double luck because we were near the kitchen and it was interesting to see them work and prepare the burgers. We ordered the cheeseburger (5.6 €) and Ebi Burger (6.7 €), the first with Angus beef and the second with shrimp tempura both served in bamboo boxes. They are very good, the meat was good quality and barely needed sauce and the shrimp was great even better than the other. The sides were fries (€ 2.9) and a coleslaw salad (€ 3.2). We also ordered the Mochi ice cream (€ 4.20), two rice balls stuffed with bean paste. In the end we paid 15 € per person.
