Foi a primeiro que vimos em Braga e é impossível planificar uma visita a cidade que não passe por aqui. Já tinha estado antes e ao repetir também sigo com o meu padrão: não subo as suas escadarias, eu sou das que gosta de poupar energia para chegar ao topo e ver o Santuário com a saúde a pleno. Começámos a visita parando o carro onde começa a sua famosa escadaria barroca e arrancámos depois até ao topo (onde se pode entrar com o carro pagando mas nós conseguimos um lugar junto a umas casas um pouco antes).
It was the first place we went to in Braga and it is impossible to plan a visit to the city that does not go through here. I had been before and to repeat also I follow my pattern: I do not climb its stairs, I am the one of those people who likes to save energy to reach the top and see the Sanctuary in full health. We started the tour by stopping the car where its famous baroque staircase starts and then we pulled up to the top (where you can get the car paying but we found a spot next to some houses close by).
Foi construído no século XVIII, é um lugar onde os verdadeiros peregrinos o partilham com os turistas, que vimos eram em maior número. Tem três Escadórios principais, o primeiro e inicial é o do Pórtico mas o mais famoso será talvez o dos Cinco Sentidos que podemos ver nas fotos que coloquei aqui no post. Por último temos o Escadório das Virtudes e quando o peregrino as sobe já sabe que falta menos para contemplar a Basilica. Esta, que também foi construída no século XVIII tem no seu interior um estilo neoclássico com a vantagem na minha opinião de ser bastante luminoso. Á sua volta, um coreto e uns jardins onde o seu ponto alto são as grutas.
It was built in the 18th century, it is a place where the true pilgrims share it with the tourists, which we saw were in greater numbers. It has three main Stairs, the first and initial is the Portico but the most famous will be perhaps the Five Senses that we can see in the photos I put here in the post. Finally we have the Stairs of Virtues and when the pilgrim rises them already knows that it is less to contemplate the Basilica. This one, which was also built in the 18th century, has a neoclassical style inside, with the advantage of being quite bright. Around it, a bandstand and gardens where its high point are the caves.
