Costa Nova foi o grande éxito do Verão pasado no Instagram, por todo lado nesta rede social encontrava nos influencer mais importantes as fotos que marcavam a sua passagem por aqui. Como boa follower decidi aproveitar a viagem ao Porto para pasar por Aveiro e pela famosa costa com as suas casas ás riscas brancas e azuis, vermelhas, amarelas ou verdes.

Costa Nova was the great success of last summer in Instagram, everywhere in this social network I found in the most important influencer the photos that marked their passage here. As a good follower I decided to enjoy the trip to Porto to pass through Aveiro and the famous coast with its houses white and blue, red, yellow or green stripes.

 

Não sei porquê pensei sempre que as famosas casas estavam numa zona em frente ao mar, na realidade ocupam uma boa parte da Rua José Estevão e têm vista para a Ria de Aveiro. Quando fomos tivémos não conseguimos ver todas, numa parte estavam a fazer obras que nos impedia avançar. As casas são conhecidas como “palheiros”, eram antigos armazéns que os pescadores utilizavam para guardar as redes de pesca ou para a salga da sardinha. Hoje em dia dizem que são utilizadas como casas de Verão.

I do not know why I always thought that the famous houses were in a zone in front of the sea, in fact they occupy a good part of José Estevão Street and have a view of the Ria de Aveiro. When we were there we could not see them all, in a part they were doing works that prevented us from moving forward. The houses are known as “haystacks” (“palheiros”), they were old warehouses that the fishermen used to store the fishing nets or the salting of the sardines. Nowadays they say that they are used as summer houses.
