Começámos a nossa visita a Veneza com uma viagem de vaporetto pelo Grand Canal e terminámos o dia da mesma maneira.

Para descansar regressámos ao nosso hotel, mudámos de roupa e voltámos a Veneza. Na estação de Mestre apanhámos o comboio e a seguir voltámos a apanhar o vaporetto, ainda pensámos a ir a pé mas depois pareceu-nos que seria mais interesante percorrer o Grand Canal de noite, ainda para mais com o preço simpático de 6,5€ por pessoa.

We started our visit to Venice with in Grand Canal by vaporetto and ended the day the same way.
To rest we returned to our hotel, we changed our clothes and we returned to Venice. In the Mestre station we caught the train and then we again took the vaporetto, although we thought about walking but then it seem more interesting for us to travel the Grand Canal at night, even more so with the friendly price of 6.5 € per person.

Assim começou uma experiência que dificilmente esqueceremos, se é bonita de dia, de noite tem ainda mais charme, mais encanto e talvez até mais mistério. Revisitámos os mesmos locais agora com menos gente, ficámos surpreendidos com a redução de turistas na noite veneziana, a verdade é que estamos em Outubro e não é própriamente a época mais alta, pelo que creio que escolhemos bem.

A maior concentração de pessoas que vimos no Grand Canal foi junto ao Rialto. Sem dúvida que a sua oferta de restaurantes com esplanadas viradas para o canal ajudam a manter a zona ainda mais animada, mas a possibilidade de fotografar a ponte de noite também atrai mais turistas.

Uma alternativa mais luxuosa ao meio de transporte onde íamos seria as gôndolas. Para os mais românticos pode ser sem dúvida a melhor das experiências, as ruas estão mais silenciosas e a noite mostra outras qualidades da cidade e dos seus canais.

The highest concentration of people we saw in the Grand Canal was near the Rialto. No doubt that its variety of restaurants with terraces facing the canal help keep it even more lively, but the possibility of photographing the bridge at night also attracts more tourists.
A more luxurious alternative means of transport would be going by gondolas. For the more romantic can be undoubtedly the best experience, the streets are silent and the night shows other qualities of the city and its Canals.
