A nossa primeira vez  no Chá com Água Salgada foi no Verão passado, queríamos experimentar o restaurante nº1 no Tripadvisor em Manta Rota. Com bom ambiente, acolhedor e confortável, sentes que depois de tanta taberna, tasca e cadeira de plástico mereces um pequeño luxo e além disso uma carta que te ofereça pratos diferentes. Este restaurante cumpria o objetivo mas não totalmente a nossa expectativa que era, tenho que confessar, alta.

Our first time at the Chá com Água Salgada was last summer, we wanted to try the # 1 restaurant on Tripadvisor in Manta Rota. With good atmosphere, warm and comfortable, you feel that after so many taverns and plastic chairs you deserve a small luxury and also a menu that offers you different dishes. This restaurant served the purpose but not fully to our expectation which was, I must confess, high.

Ao preparar as fotos para o post de esta praia não pude deixar de notar como são tão diferentes porque as tirei em diferentes momentos do dia. Maré cheia, maré vazia, hora do calor ou fim da tarde mudam o aspecto da Praia mas não a sua essência. Exibe orgulhosamente a sua bandeira azul e se a água está impecável a areia ainda deixa margem de melhora. Aos fins de semana enche e presumo que em Agosto também (nós vamos sempre na última quinzena de Julho), é óptima para ir com crianças e é por isso uma das favoritas das familias (na sua maioria portuguesas e espanholas).

When preparing the photos for the post of this beach I could not help but notice how they are so different because I took them at different times of the day. Full tide, empty tide, heat or late afternoon change the look of the beach but not its essence. It proudly displays its blue flag and if the water is flawless the sand still leaves room for improvement. At weekends it fills and I assume that in August too (we always go in the last fortnight of July), it is great to go with children and is therefore a favorite of families (mostly Portuguese and Spanish).

Olimar – Manta Rota, Portugal

Não há glamour neste bar colado á praia, tem aquele ar de restaurante de toda a vida onde os teus pais sempre iam quando passavam férias na Manta Rota e tratam os empregados pelo nome. Nós ainda não temos esse histórico mas foi onde mais comemos sem dúvida porque para além de ter boa comida era dos mais acessíveis na escassa oferta que há de restaurantes junto á Praia da Lota.

There is no glamor in this bar glued to the beach, has that air of restaurant of a lifetime where your parents always went when they vacationed in Manta Rota and treat employees by their names. We do not yet have this history but it was where we had lunch most of the times, no doubt because in addition to having good food was the most affordable in scarce variety of restaurants next to the Lota beach. Praia da Lota – Manta Rota, Portugal

Estão quase a chegar as nossas férias de Verão e este ano vamos repetir esta praia na zona da Manta Rota. Foi escolhida pela sua proximidade ao nosso hotel e quando fomos – em Julho – conseguimos sempre ter muito espaço para as toalhas, chapéus e brincadeiras com as crianças. Tem uma zona de toldos que não chegámos a utilizar porque ficava mais longe do nosso acesso que se fazia por um passeio de madeira.

Our summer holidays are around the corner and this year we will repeat this beach on the Manta Rota area. It was chosen for its proximity to our hotel and when we went – in July – you could always have plenty of space for towels, umbrellas and playing with children.
