A nossa primeira vez  no Chá com Água Salgada foi no Verão passado, queríamos experimentar o restaurante nº1 no Tripadvisor em Manta Rota. Com bom ambiente, acolhedor e confortável, sentes que depois de tanta taberna, tasca e cadeira de plástico mereces um pequeño luxo e além disso uma carta que te ofereça pratos diferentes. Este restaurante cumpria o objetivo mas não totalmente a nossa expectativa que era, tenho que confessar, alta.

Our first time at the Chá com Água Salgada was last summer, we wanted to try the # 1 restaurant on Tripadvisor in Manta Rota. With good atmosphere, warm and comfortable, you feel that after so many taverns and plastic chairs you deserve a small luxury and also a menu that offers you different dishes. This restaurant served the purpose but not fully to our expectation which was, I must confess, high.

Primeiro vem o couvert, bom pão acompanhado da tradicional manteiga e azeitonas. Para beber decidimos pedir uma sangria branca que estava bem elaborada, talvez lhe faltasse um pouco mais de fruta. A boa surpresa foram as chamuças de polvo com maionese de caril e vinagreta de manga, uma excelente maneira de começar a refeição. Os pratos principais foram um risotto de tamboril e camarões para fugir ao tradicional arroz de marisco, foi uma boa escolha mas esperábamos sabores mais intensos. E a decepção foram os gnocchi, Achei um prato sem graça e que não era digno do espaço onde estábamos pode ser que este ano a receita tenha melhorado porque vi que o têm no menu. Não é um restaurante barato também porque escolhem bom produto e o tratam com respeito, vale a pena a visita sem dúvida simplesmente não é dos que repito todas as épocas.

First comes the couvert, good bread accompanied by the traditional butter and olives. To drink we decided to order a white sangria that was well elaborated, perhaps it lacked a little more fruit. The good surprise was the octopus samosas with curry mayonnaise and mango vinaigrette, a great way to start the meal. The main dishes were a monkfish risotto and prawns to get away from the traditional seafood rice, it was a good choice but we expected more intense flavors. And the disappointment were the gnocchi, I found a dish bland and that was not worthy of the space where we were may be this year the recipe has improved because I saw that they have it on the menu. It is not a cheap restaurant either because they choose good product and treat it with respect, it is worth the visit without a doubt simply is not of that I repeat all the times.
