O Shard é o edificio mais alto da Europa, construído em forma de pirâmide domina o skyline do Southbank de Londres e a sua sombra chega ao otro lado do rio Tamisa. Tem 309 metros de altura e o seu observatório a que chamam The View está a 244 metros. Nós visitámos numa segunda-feira pela manhã antes das 11h e havia pouca gente na fila, depois de essa hora já a fila chegava á porta.
The Shard is Europe’s tallest building, with a pyramid-shaped dominating over London’s Southbank skyline and its shadow reaches across the hames. It is 309 meters high and its observatory they call The View is 244 meters. We visited on a Monday morning before 11am and there were few people in line, after that time the queue was already reaching the door.
As entradas são (na minha opinião) caras, custou 25 libras por pessoa porque tínhamos o pack de familia. Dão um guia á entrada do que estás a ver quando sobes e tens que entrar em dois elevadores porque num determinado nivel tens que trocar. Uma vez no topo há dois pisos de onde podes ter essa vista 360º de Londres, o primeiro esta no piso 69 e o segundo que é ao ar livre está no 72. Honestamente, a vista do 69 já é suficiente e a vale mesmo a pena porque vês uma parte de Londres que não consegues com o London Eye por exemplo.
The tickets are (in my opinion) expensive, it cost 25 pounds per person because we had the family pack. They give you a guide to the entrance of what you are seeing when you go up and you have to enter two lifts because at a certain level you have to change. Once at the top there are two floors from which you can have that 360º view of London, the first one is on the 69th floor and the second is the 72 outdoors. Honestly, the 69th view is good enough and is really worth it because you see a part of London that you can’t with the London Eye for example.
