No nosso primeiro dia completo em Copenhaga visitámos o Experimentarium. Tínhamos organizado a viagem pensando que nos primeiros dias não ia estar bom tempo (e nesse dia chegou a nevar de manhã) e comprámos antecipadamente os bilhetes por internet. Este é um lugar de visita obrigatória se vão a Copenhaga com crianças, passámos aqui quatro horas mas poderíamos ter ficado ainda mais. É um lugar de experiências de vários tipos, mentais ou fisicas, põem á prova as habilidades dos mais pequenos de todas as idades para além de aprenderem coisas novas.

On our first full day in Copenhagen we visited the Experimentarium. We had arranged the trip thinking that in the first days was not going to be good weather (and that day it got snowy in the morning) and we bought tickets online. This is a must visit if you are going to Copenhagen with children, we spent here four hours but could have stayed even longer. It is a place of experiences of various kinds, mental or physical, testing the skills of the little ones of all ages in addition to learning new things.

A primeira zona de que vou falar é a Miniverse para crianças de 1 a 5 anos, é um espaço totalmente pensado para elas que chega a ter uma zona com mesas para dar-lhes de comer. A parte das experiências explora o seu lado mais criativo como por exemplo a construção de uma muralha de espuma para proteger do vento (que sai a cada x tempo de um ventilador) ou brincar com o supermercado, fazer a horta, a zona de espelhos etc.. Sempre e em cada uma delas há um cantinho para contar um conto, o único problema é que estão no idioma local…

The first area I will talk about is the Miniverse for children from 1 to 5 years, it is a space totally thought for them that also has a zone with tables so they can eat. The part of the experiments explores their most creative side such as the construction of a foam wall to protect from the wind (which comes out every x time of a fan) or play with the supermarket, make the vegetable garden, the zone of mirrors etc. .. Always and in each of them there is a little corner to tell a story, the only problem is that they are in the local language …

O nosso mais pequeno adorou esta zona, onde andou livremente (sem sapatos) explorando cada um dos seus cantos mas o seu favorito foi sem dúvida o supermercado. Subimos depois para nos unirmos aos irmãos (11 e 6 anos) que andavam divertidos pelo andar de cima, ainda assim e principalmente na parte da água o mais pequeno esteve muito entretido. Jogos de memória, saltos, montar o corpo humano são apenas algumas das muitas experiências num mesmo espaço e não vou falar de todas. O ideal é mesmo visitar porque cada criança gosta mais de uma coisa que outra o que significa que o espaço pode cumprir as expectativas de todos. Por exemplo o nosso mais velho adorou um jogo de memória com figuras, estava empenhado em bater o score do dia.  Além disso adoraram o das bolas de sabão que tem uma zona grande para brincar e que se pode fazer com formas muito interessantes.

Our little one loved this area, where he walked freely (without shoes) exploring each of his corners but his favorite was undoubtedly the supermarket. We went up later to join the brothers (11 and 6 years old) who were having fun upstairs, even so and especially in the part of the water the smallest one kept being entertained. Memory games, jumps, riding the human body are just some of the many experiences in the same space and I will not talk about them all. The ideal is to visit because each child likes more than one thing than another which means that space can meet everyone’s expectations. For example our eldest loved a memory game with figures, was keen to beat the score of the day. In addition they loved the soap balls that have a great zone to play with and that can be made with very interesting shapes.

É possível almoçar no Experimentarium e não achámos muito caro considerando os preços da cidade em geral, têm opções saudáveis, sandes e hamburguers, cachorros quentes etc.. Fomos de manhã e apanhámos várias visitas de estudo, grande parte de crianças entre os 10-14 anos. Pela tarde fica mais tranquilo pelo menos a um dia de semana. Conta ainda com a famosa exposição do Corpo Humano que a primeira vez que vi foi em Lisboa mas que é sempre bom recordar.

It is possible to have lunch at the Experimentarium and we did not find it very expensive considering the prices of the city in general, have healthy options, sandwiches and hamburgers, hot dogs etc … We went in the morning and picked up several study visits, a lot of kids between the 10-14 years. In the afternoon it is more relaxed at least a week day. It also has the famous exhibition of the Human Body that the first time I saw was in Lisbon but it is always good to remember.
