A segunda vez que parámos á porta de Wendy Gamba estava vazio e conseguimos a primeira mesa do dia, depois de uma tentativa de entrar para jantar e nem conseguir ver o seu interior de tão cheio que estava. É um éxito escondido na Calle Fresca no centro histórico da cidade. E apesar de que saímos contentes com a nossa experiência aqui, na realidade não é para tanto, é um bar de tapas onde a comida é correcta mas não tivémos nenhum momento “uhau”.

The second time we stopped at Wendy Gamba’s door it was empty and we got the first table of the day, after an attempt to enter for dinner and could not even see her inside so full it was. It is a hidden success in Calle Fresca in the historical center of the city. And although we left happy with our experience here, in reality it is not so much, it is a tapas bar where the food is correct but we did not have any uhau moment.

Na carta uma série de tapas onde a Gamba é a estrela mas onde se também podia variar e pedir o hamburguer de rabo de touro (que achamos que não havia porque a que trouxeram para os miudos era normal), beringelas, croquetas de jamón, etc.. Nós pedimos as gambas á ajillo que estavam óptimas apesar da escassa porção e pedimos também as XL que vinham dentro de massa filo. Pedimos ainda umas lagrimitas de frango que os mais pequenos adoraram e umas beringelas fritas que estavam bastante estaladiças. Aquí só se comem pratos típicos, tudo bom e sem grandes surpresas. Podes comer tapas aqui por 15€ por pessoa dependendo do que se pede, a mais cara que comemos foram as de gambas que custava 7,80€.

On the menu a series of tapas where Gamba is the star but where one could also vary and order the bull-tail burger (which we thought there was not because they brought it to the kids was normal), eggplants, ham croquettes, etc. .. We ordered the ajillo prawns which were great despite the meager portion and we also ordered the XLs that came inside a crusty dough. We order some chicken “tears” that the little ones loved and some fried eggplants that were quite crispy. Only typical dishes are eaten here, all good and without great surprises. You can eat tapas here for € 15 per person depending on what you order, the most expensive we ate were the prawns which cost € 7.80.
