É o restaurante número 1 de Majadahonda segundo os votos de Tripadvisor e já durante algum tempo. A primeira vez que o visitámos foi em 2015 mas só agora no nosso regresso no mês passado é que consegui juntar tudo para escrever um post. Só quando o visitas entendes porque é um dos favoritos dos que aqui vivem e dos que por aqui passam (principalmente aos Sábados á hora de comer que é dia de mercado), a carta tem pratos dos que se gostam desde hamburguers a carnes na brasa ou o grande êxito do momento, o cachopo. Os preços não me parecem para todas as carteiras mas vale a pena uma visita pelo menos uma vez.
It is the number 1 restaurant in Majadahonda according to the votes of Tripadvisor and for some time now. The first time we visited it was in 2015 but only now on our return last month did I get it all together to write a post. Only when you visit it you understand why it is one of the favorites of those who live here and of those who pass by (especially on Saturdays at lunch time it is market day), the menu has dishes from the likes of hamburgers to grilled meats or the great hit of the moment, the cachopo. Prices do not seem to me for all wallets but well worth a visit at least once.
Na época do bom tempo instalam uma esplanada grande com vista para a praça e que muitos pais aproveitam para acabar de comer enquanto vão dando um olho nas brincadeiras das crianças. A primeira vez comemos aí, agora como fomos no Inverno ficámos dentro. Com as bebidas vem sempre uma pequena tapa de cortesia e depois de pedir trazem-te uma cesta de pão variado e um balde de madeira com manteiga, o paraíso para os portugueses, finalmente há um sitio em Espanha com pão com manteiga! Para os mais pequenos pedimos um hamburguer que cheguei a provar a carne e achei que era de boa qualidade. Nós pedimos para começar umas “croquetas” líquidas umas de trufa – que foram as que mais gostámos – e as tradicionais. Veio depois o bao com porco e queijo cujo único problema é que o pão chinês estava muito mole. Por último pedimos o Chuletón de Buey de 500grs que vem na chapa para que comas no ponto que gostas. Sendo a segunda vez que vou, dou-me conta que é um bom restaurante (e com toques de alta cozinha) mas que ainda não consigo entender o porquê de ser o número 1, os preços vs. qualidade da comida não me parece tão ajustados, sendo verdade que apesar de nunca surpreender totalmente também não desilude e é uma aposta segura. Preço médio por pessoa 25€-30€.
With good weather, they set up a large terrace overlooking the square and many parents take the time to finish eating while they keep an eye on the children’s play. The first time we ate there in that terrace, now as we went during Winter season we stayed inside. With the drinks always comes a small tapa of courtesy and after the order they bring you a basket of bread and a Wood bucket with butter, the paradise for the Portuguese, finally there is a place in Spain with bread and butter! For the little ones we ordered a burger that I got to taste the meat and I thought it was of good quality. We order to start some liquid “croquettes” with truffle – which were the ones we liked the most – and the traditional ones. Then came the bao with pork and cheese whose only problem was that the Chinese bread was too soft. Finally we ordered the Oxtail of 500grs that comes in the plate for you to eat at the point that you like. Being the second time I go, I realize it’s a good restaurant (and with high-tech touches) but I still can not understand why it’s number 1, prices vs.. Quality of food does not seem so adjusted, truth is that despite never totally surprising it also does not disappoint and is a safe bet. Average price per person 25 € -30 €.
