Não pudémos visitar o interior do Palácio Pitti mas não podíamos deixar de visitar o seu fantástico jardim de proporções generosas e que em alguns pontos oferecem uma excelente vista sobre Florença. A familia Medici foi a responsável pela ampliação do Palácio no século XIV assim como da construção do jardim que podemos hoje contemplar. As entradas custam 10€ e dão acesso para além deste Jardim, a três museus (um deles o da Porcelana) e ao Jardim de Bardini que valem a pena a visita.
We could not visit the inside of the Pitti Palace but we could not miss your fantastic garden of generous proportions and in some places offer a great view of Florence. The Medici family was responsible for the expansion of the palace in the fourteenth century and the building of the garden that we admire today. Tickets are 10€ and provide access beyond this garden, the three museums (one of Porcelain) and the Bardini Gardens that are worth the visit.
Depois de passar pelo pátio interior, temos que subir umas escadas e chegamos a um outro pátio onde está a fonte del Carciofo que significa Alcachofra. Chegamos á zona do Anfiteatro onde podemos ver um obelisco egipcio e uma pia de tamanho generoso que foi recuperada da zona dos banhos romanos de Caracalla. Fomos subindo até ao lago estava a Fonte de Neptuno mas em vez de ir sempre em frente optámos por aproveitar o zigue zague do jardim.
Continuámos a subir até ao Jardim dos Cavaliere construido em 1529 onde visitámos o Museu da Porcelana e aproveitámos a bela vista sobre um lado de Florença não tão conhecido. Dali continuámos a dar um passeio pelos jardins sem grande direcção até encontrar uma placa que apontava para o Jardim de Bardini.
After passing through the inner courtyard, we had to climb some stairs and came to another courtyard where the source del Carciofo meaning Artichoke. We arrive to the amphitheater area where we could see an Egyptian obelisk and a generous sized sink that was recovered from the Roman baths of the Caracalla area. We were going up to the lake where the Fountain of Neptune was but instead of going straight ahead we opted to enjoy the zigzag of the garden.
We kept going up to the Garden of Cavaliere built in 1529 where we visited the Museum of Porcelain and we enjoyed the beautiful view on one side of Florence not as well known. From there we continued to take a stroll through the gardens without much direction until you find a sign pointing to the Bardini Garden.
