São muitas as (boas) memórias que tenho do CCB, lembro-me de que quando foi inaugurado se falava de que era uma construção desnecessária porque o motivo da sua construção foi pelo facto de Portugal acolher a presidência da União Europeia, estávamos em 1992. Na altura diziam que o edificio era feio, uma aberração que estragaria a beleza da Praça do Império dominada pelo Mosteiro dos Jerónimos.
There are many (good) memories I have of CCB, I remember that when it first opened there was talk about it’s building was unnecessary because the reason for its construction was the fact that Portugal wat hosting the EU Presidency, this was in 1992. At the time they said that the building was ugly, an aberration that would spoil the beauty of the Empire Square (Praça do Império) dominated by the Jeronimos Monastery.
