Ainda no primeiro dia seguimos o nosso passeio pela cidade em direcção ao Museu Nacional de Arte da Catalunha (MNAC), onde encontramos alguns dos artistas mais importantes da região ou que ali viveram, quadros de Dalí, Picasso ou peças de mobiliário de Gaudí fazem parte da sua colecção. Para ter uma vista 360º sobre a cidade fomos ao centro comercial Arenas de Barcelona, uma antiga praça de touros. Comemos um gelado em Eixample até voltarmos ao nosso hotel para aproveitar a piscina no rooftop. Terminámos o dia com um jantar no Velódromo.
Still on the first day we continued with our walk through the city towards the National Museum of Art of Catalonia (MNAC), where we find some of the most important artists in the region or who lived there, paintings by Dalí, Picasso or pieces of Gaudí furniture are a part of its collection. To have a 360º view of the city we went to the Arenas shopping center of Barcelona, an old bullring. We ate an ice cream in Eixample until we returned to our hotel to enjoy the pool on the rooftop. We finished the day with a dinner at the Velodrome.
A caminho do MNAC e depois de descer pelo Jardim Laribal parámos num pequeno miradouro a contemplar novas vistas da cidade, desta vez conseguíamos ver a Sagrada Familia e as suas eternas gruas de construção.
On our way to the MNAC and after descending through the Laribal Garden we stopped at a small viewpoint to contemplate new sights of the city, this time we could see the Sagrada Familia and its eternal construction cranes.
Chegámos ao MNAC que está instalado no Palácio Nacional construído para a Exposição Internacional de 1929, um fantástico edificio com uma excelente localização para ter as melhores vistas sobre a cidade. Se o seu interior já é digno de visita, o Museu com obras impressionantes de várias épocas é um plus, desde a arte Medieval, passando pelo Renascimento, o Barroco e claro, a Arte Moderna que encontrou em Barcelona um berço importante. Picasso, Gaudí, Casas, Goya, Velázquez, Dalí, são apenas alguns dos artistas que podemos encontrar aqui representados.
We arrived at the MNAC which is housed in the National Palace built for the International Exhibition of 1929, a fantastic building with an excellent location to have the best views over the city. If its interior is already worthy of visit, the Museum with impressive works from various eras is a plus, from Medieval art, passing through the Renaissance, the Baroque and of course, Modern Art found in Barcelona an important cradle. Picasso, Gaudí, Casas, Goya, Velázquez, Dalí, are just some of the artists we can find here represented.

Saímos do museu e a vista desde o Palácio continuava a deslumbrar-nos, o caminho até á Praça de Espanha é monumental e começa com a Fonte Mágica que nos faltou apreciar pela noite com a iluminação.
We left the museum and the view from the Palace continued to dazzle us, the way to the Plaza de España is monumental and begins with the Magic Fountain that we missed it during the night with all its lights.
Já na própria Praça de Espanha encontramos as duas Torres venezianas inspiradas como o nome indica na que se encontra na Praça de S. Marco da cidade italiana. Elas marcavam o acesso á Exposição Internacional de 1929 e medem quarenta e sete metros.
Already in the Plaza of Spain we find the two Venetian towers inspired as the name indicates in the one that is in the S. Marco Square of the Italian city. They marked the access to the International Exhibition of 1929 and measure forty-seven meters.
Atravessamos a estrada para ir ao Centro Comercial de Arenas de Barcelona com o objetivo de subir até ao Miradouro e aproveitar a vista 360º que oferece. Instalado no topo de uma antiga Praça de Touros que reabriu ao público em 2011 com esta nova funcionalidade. No topo para além da vista é possível comer ou jantar num dos seus restaurantes com esplanadas. Para subir há duas alternativas, a mais rápida implica pagar e é feita apanhando um elevador no exterior, a outra forma é entrar no centro comercial e subir as escadas rolantes.
We crossed the road to go to the Arenas Shopping Center in Barcelona with the objective of climbing up to the Viewpoint and enjoying the 360º view it offers. Installed on top of an old bullring that reopened to the public in 2011 with this new functionality. Besides the view you can eat in one of its restaurants with terraces. To go up there are two alternatives, the fastest means you need to pay and is done by going up an elevator on the outside, the other way is to enter the mall and climb the escalators.

Para voltar ao nosso hotel decidimos apanhar um autocarro, saímos numa paragem que nos obrigou a subir a Enric Granados e descubrir a Delacrem, tínhamos um desejo enorme de comer gelado que conseguimos cumprir aqui. Conquistaram-nos os seus gelados de fabrico artesanal italiano, cremosos e saborosos.
To return to our hotel we decided to take a bus, we left at a stop that forced us to climb Enric Granados and then we discovered Delacrem, we had a huge desire to eat ice cream that we were able to fulfill here. They conquered us with their Italian artisan ice creams made, creamy and tasty.
Depois de um dia tão intenso na cidade decidimos ir até ao nosso hotel (Astoria ***) para relaxar um pouco e experimentar a piscina no rooftop, aproveitámos para pedir umas bebidas no bar e se realmente acertaram no mojito, a caipirinha andou uns tiros ao lado.
After a day so intense in the city we decided to go to our hotel (Astoria ***) to relax a little and try the pool on the rooftop, we had a drink at the bar and if they really hit on the mojito, the caipirinha was a few shots off the target.
Saímos depois para jantar e escolhemos o El Velódromo muito próximo do nosso hotel. O que mais me fascinou na primeira vez que entrei foi a sua decoração, a sua estética Art Deco como se fosse uma viagem ao passado, dizem que foi um clássico de Barcelona e um ponto de encontro para pessoas que marcaram a história desde que nasceu em 1933. Com a gestão a cargo de Moritz (a marca de cervejas), a sua carta é de tapas e funcionada das 6h até ás 3h da madrugada.
We then left for dinner and chose El Velódromo very close to our hotel. What fascinated me most the first time I walked in was its decor, its Art Deco aesthetic as if it were a trip to the past, they say it was a Barcelona classic and a meeting point for people who marked history since it was born in 1933. Under the management of Moritz (the brand of beers), its menu is made with tapas and runs from 6am to 3am in the morning.
