Recebemos algumas (boas) dicas locais de onde poderíamos comer bem e barato no Porto, claro que perguntámos pela melhor francesinha ao que nos responderam que a do Alfândega Douro era boa por ser feita em forno a lenha. Convencidos, deixámos de parte o Capa Negra e o Santiago para ver que tal estavam. Não decepcionaram mas faltou ter provado as outras ao mesmo tempo para comparar.
We received some (good) local tips on where we could eat well and cheaply in Porto, of course we asked for the best Francesinha to which they answered that the one in the Alfândega Douro was good because it was made in a wood oven. Convinced part we left the Capa Negra and Santiago to see that it was. They did not disappoint but I missed tasting the others at the same time to be able to compare.
Optámos por ficar na esplanada, não tem grande glamour mas é suficientemente cómoda para passar um jantar agradável. Decidimos pedir uma francesinha completa (10€) para dividir para os dois, sabemos que são sempre doses bem servidas e preferíamos comer menos, na realidade ficámos com alguma fome. As francesinhas são preparadas na cozinha e passam depois pelo forno a lenha que está fora para derreter o queijo, estava bastante boa mas faltou-me esse molho mais intenso que costumam ter. Antes ainda comemos pão com paté e manteiga, decidimos não comer sobremesa o que significa que jantámos por menos de 20€ duas pessoas. A repetir.
We chose to stay on the terrace, it has little glamor but is sufficiently convenient to spend a pleasant dinner. We decided to order a full francesinha (10 €) to split for two, we know they are always well served quantities and would rather eat less, in fact in the end we were hungry. The francesinhas are prepared in the kitchen and then go to the wood oven that is out side in order to melt the cheese, was quite good but lacked me that more intense sauce that they usually have. Before we had bread with paté and butter, we decided not to eat dessert which means that we had dinner for less than 20 € two people. Something to repeat.
