Comer a um bom preço em Londres não é fácil e o melhor é nem converter as libras em euros porque a situação fica ainda pior, mas o Herman Ze German foi uma das refeições mais económicas que tivemos durante a nossa estadia e poderia ter sido ainda mais barata não fosse ter pedido demasiada comida. Têm mais restaurantes mas o que fomos está na zona de Charing Cross ao lado da estação, numa rua estreita quase escondida para provar os seus bratwurst.
Eating at a good price in London is not easy and it is best not to convert pounds in euros because the situation gets worse, but Herman Ze German was one of the cheapest meals we had during our stay and could have been cheaper if we did not ordered too much food. They have more restaurants but we went to the one in the Charing Cross area next to the train station in a narrow street almost hidden to taste their bratwurst.
As salsichas que se servem nos cachorros quentes do Herman Ze German vêm da Alemanha, têm um fornecedor que segundo eles as produz na Floresta Negra e o seu nome é Fritz. As últimas que comi realmente boas foi Schwangau aos pés do Neuschwanstein e de Herman reavivaram a minha memória. Escolhemos o Wurst Deal que custava 8,55 libras, tem o cachorro com molhos e cebola frita, batatas e bebida. A outra curiosidade são as colas de uma marca própria sua, faltava-lhes um pouco de gás mas foram uma boa surpresa. O erro que cometemos foi pedir uma porção extra de batatas com queijo para as quais já não tínhamos fome. No final comemos por menos de vinte libras e ficámos muito bem.
The sausages that are served on Herman Ze German’s hot dogs come from Germany, they have local supplier which they say produces them in the Black Forest and his name is Fritz. The last I ate really good was in Schwangau at the foot of the Neuschwanstein and Herman revived my memory. We chose the Wurst Deal costing 8.55 pounds, has the hot dog with sauces and fried onions, potatoes and drink. The other curiosity are the colas of their own brand, they lacked a little gas but were a nice surprise. The mistake we made was to order for an extra serving of potatoes with cheese for which we were no longer hungry. At the end we ate for under twenty pounds and we were fine.
