São infinitamente mais as vezes que quero ir a um SPA que na realidade vou. Adoro todo o conceito de relaxamento e tranquilidade destes espaços mas fico sempre a pensar se realmente valem o dinheiro que gastamos. Desta vez ia determinada a aproveitar, oferecemo-nos um mimo e ainda para mais num sitio com uma localização “inmejorable” como dizem os espanhóis, no SPA Caudalie Vinothérapie do Hotel Yeatman.
The times I want to go to a SPA are thousands more tan the ones I really. I love the whole relaxing and peaceful concept of this type of places but I keep thing if they are really worth the money we spend in it. This time I was determined to enjoy it, offering myself a good treat and specially in this amazing location, “inmejorable” has the spanish say, in the Hotel Yeatman’s Caudelie Vinothérapie Spa.
Éramos duas, marcámos uma massagem relaxante de cinquenta minutos cuja a intenção era fazer juntas na mesma sala mas porque chegámos atrasadas tivémos que fazer separadas. O preço é elevado (há massagens por 100€) mas dá acesso a outras áreas do SPA como a zona de banhos romano, turco, sauna, etc..
Têm uma sala para iniciar o processo de relaxamento que tem uma vista fantástica para o Porto e para a zona da Ribeira. Oferecem um chá de citrinos com canela e ficas ali deitada simplesmente a apreciar a paisagem ou a conversar. A massagem foi excelente, em alguns momentos ou melhor, zonas um pouco mais dolorosa mas sem dúvida revitalizante. Já a zona dos banhos, destacaria a sauna e pouco mais, não percebi muito bem o que têm contra água morna mas o banho romano estava frio e a piscina de água interior também.
Enquanto esperava li um pouco sobre a história da Caudalie, uma empresa ligada á cosmética e bem-estar cuja principal matéria prima é a uva. Têm três SPA em Portugal e um em Espanha (Bilbao).
We were two, we booked one fifty-minute relaxing massage and our intention was to have it together in the same room but we got delayed so we had to make them separate. The price is high ( no massages for € 100 ) but gives access to other areas of the SPA as the zone of Roman baths , Turkish bath, sauna , etc. ..There is a room to start the relaxation process which has a fantastic view of the Porto and the Ribeira zone. They star by offering a citrus tea with cinnamon and you’re lying there just to enjoy the scenery or a good conversation. The massage was excellent at times in some areas a little more painful but definitely invigorating . In the baths area, the sauna was the highlight for me and not much more,I do not quite understand what they have against warm water but the Roman bath was cold and the indoor water pool too.While waiting I read a little about the history of Caudalie , a company related to the cosmetic and wellness business whose main raw material is the grape. They have three SPA in Portugal and one in Spain ( Bilbao ).

Metro: Câmara de Gaia, saímos aqui mas andámos uns bons 15 minutos até lá chegar e ainda nos perdemos.
