Aproveitámos uns dias de férias em Junho para visitar a cidade, capital da Extremadura e local onde estão um anfiteatro e teatro do tempo da ocupação romana. A cidade, cujo nome nessa época era Emérita Augusta foi a capital da Lusitania e hoje o seu espaço arqueológico faz parte do Património Mundial da UNESCO.
We took a few days off in June to visit the city, the capital of Extremadura and where an amphitheater and theater from the time of Roman occupation are located. The city, whose name at the time was Emerita Augusta was the capital of Lusitania and now its archaeological site is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
