O LX Factory é um espaço inovador em Alcântara alojado na antiga fábrica de Tecidos Lisbonense. Conserva grande parte dos edificios que foram sendo construídos ao longo dos anos pelos que posteriormente ocuparam este espaço desde a Companhia Industrial de Portugal e Colónias á Gráfica de Mirandela. Agora é um espaço aberto ao mundo, á cultura, ao street art e é um lugar onde se “vivem” os hipsters. Lojas, restaurantes, bares e esplanadas, livrarias, um hostel e um espaço de trabalho partilhado mantêm este espaço vivo e servem de exemplo a outros pela Europa.
LX Factory is an innovative space in Alcântara housed in the former Lisbonense Fabrics factory. It conserves much of the buildings that were being built over the years by those who later occupied this space from the Industrial Company of Portugal and Colonies à Gráfica de Mirandela. It is now a space open to the world, the culture, the street art and is a place where “hipsters” live. Shops, restaurants, bars and terraces, bookstores, a hostel and a shared workspace keep this space alive and set an example for others across Europe.
Ainda vivia em Portugal quando passei aqui pela primeira vez, a ultima visita foi em Maio de 2019. É um agradável (e curto) passeio que aproveitámos para explorar um pouco mais o espaço, descobri a Conserveira de Portugal e o seu bonito interior, voltar á Livraria Ler Devagar, tomar uma cerveja Dois Corvos e ouvir musica ao vivo num dos seus bares. Para tomar algo com vista para o Tejo e a Margem Sul, recomenda-se subir á esplanada Rio Maravilha. Os três restaurantes onde estivémos:
I was still living in Portugal when I first came here, the last visit was in May 2019. It is a pleasant (and short) tour that we took to explore a little more space, I discovered the Conserveira de Portugal and its beautiful interior, back Bookstore Read Slowly, have a Two Crows beer and listen to live music in one of its bars. To have something overlooking the Tagus and the South Bank, it is recommended to go up to the Rio Maravilha esplanade. The three restaurants we have been to:
