Num dos nossos passeios de um dia a Toledo entrámos nesta igreja de estilo barroco construída no século XVII mais conhecida como a Igreja dos Jesuítas. Foi uma agradável surpresa, não esperávamos um interior tão branco e luminoso, muito menos ornamentada do que o seu estilo arquitetónico poderia indicar não deixando ao mesmo tempo de ser interessante. Está dedicada a San Ildefonso de Toledo que é o santo padroeiro da cidade.

In one of our day trips to Toledo we entered this baroque style church built in the seventeenth century better known as the Church of the Jesuits. It was a pleasant surprise, we did not expect an interior so white and bright, much less ornate than its architectural style could indicate while not letting it be interesting. It is dedicated to San Ildefonso de Toledo who is the patron saint of the city.

Tem dois pontos muito interessantes, o primeiro é que se pode subir até ao coro para apreciar o interior da igreja desde um ponto mais alto e o outro é que se pode subir a uma das suas torres exteriores e ter uma vista priveligiada sobre a cidade. Quando entrámos não pagámos mas para subir á dita torre sim que se tem que pagar cerca de 2,80€ por pessoa.

It has two very interesting points: the first one is that one can climb up to the choir to appreciate the interior of the church from a higher point and the other one is that one can climb to one of its outer towers and have a privileged view of the city. When we entered we did not pay but to climb to the tower you do have to pay about 2.80 € per person.
