Era um dos sitios que tínhamos apontados que não poderíamos perder em Menorca e quase que estivémos a desistir ao ver a fila que tinha ás oito da noite quando fomos a dar um passeio pela Ciutadella. É sem dúvida um dos lugares mais famosos da ilha que ganhou fama pelos seus pratos com lagosta, como a caldereta ou o que comemos de frita com ovos e batatas.

It was one of the places we had pointed out that we could not miss in Menorca and we were almost giving up when we saw the queue that was at 8 pm when we went for a walk through Ciutadella. It is undoubtedly one of the most famous places on the island that has gained fame for its lobster dishes, such as the caldereta or the fried eggs and potatoes.

Fomos cedo para conseguir mesa (uma meia hora antes de abrir) e o curioso é que já havia pessoas sentadas na explanada mesmo quando os empregados diziam que não era possível. Conseguimos mesa na esplanada junto ao porto, o serviço é correcto e o ambiente muito agradável. Para jantar pedimos as croquetas de camarão (que podem ver pelas fotos vinham em boa quantidade), tive que pedir o pão de cristal com tomate que é algo que adoro. Pedimos ainda os mexilhões de Menorca e no fim a famosa Lagosta frita com batatas e ovo estrelado, é um dos pratos mais caros da carta onde apenas tens o preço por quilo mas segundo o tamanho da lagosta pode custar entre 70-80€. Honestamente, acho que não valia a pena e talvez fosse melhor substituir por um arroz que acaba por ficar mais barato e são, segundo diz quem os provou, muito bons.

We went early to get a table (a half hour before opening) and the odd thing is that there were people already sitting on the terrace even when employees said it was not possible. We got a table on the terrace by the harbor, the service is correct and the atmosphere very pleasant. For dinner we ordered the shrimp croquetas (which you can see from the photos), I had to order the crystal bread with tomato which is something I love. We also ordered the Menorca mussels and in the end the famous fried lobster with potatoes and star egg, is one of the most expensive dishes in the menu where you only have the price per kilo but depending on the size of the lobster can cost between 70-80 €. Honestly, I think it was not worth it and maybe it would be better to replace it with rice that turns out to be cheaper and are, according to those who tasted them, very good.
